Children learn in small, age-appropriate groups, each with their own educators who plan a weekly interest-based program. Room availability differs by centre (Roselands offers nursery care from birth; Beverly Hills is for children 2 and over):

A Predictable Daily Rhythm
Children feel secure when the day is predictable. A typical day flows through arrival and free play, morning group time, structured interest-based experiences, outdoor play, freshly cooked morning tea and lunch, rest or quiet time, afternoon experiences and outdoor play, then afternoon tea and relaxed play until pick-up. For our Pre-School Cubs, a dedicated “big school” learning block runs each afternoon.
School Readiness — Pre-School Cubs
Our year-before-school program builds genuine readiness, not just academics. It includes weekly take-home activities, school-style routines (group time, packing away, caring for belongings), early writing, recognition and concept skills, and an end-of-year transition report shared with each child’s new school. We also support families with speech, vision and developmental screening referrals, and hold information evenings with local school principals.
Learning Philosophy
Every room follows the EYLF with an interest-based approach: educators observe what each child is drawn to, then design experiences that extend their thinking. Children are active participants in their own learning, developing the confidence, independence and social skills that set them up for life.
Nutrition & Meals
All meals are freshly cooked on site each day by our centre cook — a light breakfast for early arrivals, morning and afternoon tea, and a hot, nutritious lunch. Menus are wholesome and rotated seasonally. We simply ask families to bring a piece of fruit for the shared basket and their child’s nappies.
