Both centres began as small, family-run services built around one simple belief: children thrive when they feel safe, loved and part of a community. Barfa Bear’s opened its doors in Beverly Hills in 2006, followed by Mama Bear’s in Roselands in 2009, adding dedicated nursery care for the area’s youngest children. Over the years both became genuine local institutions — the kind of place where educators know every family by name.

Under new ownership as Bear Kindergartens, we’re honouring what made these centres special — familiar faces, home-cooked meals and a real sense of belonging — while investing in the spaces, programs and technology that give today’s children the very best start.
