Seoul Metropolitan Government is partnering with Techtree Innovation to construct a high-precision, hyper-realistic digital twin, setting a new standard in urban management and public safety. This effort will enhance public services and provide a safer, more efficient urban environment.
Techtree Innovation and the Seoul Metropolitan Government have agreed to create a hyper-realistic 3D map of Yeouido. This initiative will use cutting-edge game engine technology to reflect physical information with unparalleled accuracy. The agreement, formalized at a signing ceremony attended by key figures such as Seoul City’s Digital Policy Officer Park Jin-young and Techtree Innovation’s CEO Choi Seung-yup, marks a significant advancement in digital twin technology.
With the aim of creating a game engine based digital twin, the project will implement disaster safety measures, road and traffic simulations, and other national services over an initial area covering 4km² of Yeouido. This digital twin will be showcased at the Seoul Smart Life Week in October 2024, demonstrating its real-world potential.
The digital twin project is a core infrastructure technology in public policy, aiming to solve urban challenges through high-resolution, high-precision geospatial data. Techtree Innovation’s platform, AROUND, supports various services once a digital twin is constructed. The platform has drawn interest from domestic and international clients, showcasing its versatile applications.
